Vectren raises dividend for 55th consecutive year
Vectren Corporation will raise its dividend by 5,6%.
The quarterly dividend is increased from $0,36 to $0,38 per share, marking 55 years of consecutive dividend increases.
The new annual dividend of $1,52 per share gives the utility company an indicated dividend yield of 3,2% at Thurday's closing price of $44,87.
This year's dividend increase is significantly bigger than the last couple of years, when Vectren hiked it's dividend by just $0,005, or about 1,5%.
The company mantains a dividend policy where dividend growth is aligned with consolidated earnings growth and target payout.
