MGE Energy raises dividend for 41st consecutive year

MGE Energy (MGEE) will hike its dividend by 4.2%.

Utility holding company MGE Energy will increase the quarterly dividend to $0.3075 per share, marking 41 years of higher dividend payments.

"MGE Energy remains committed to building upon its financial strength and providing solid returns to shareholders," said Gary Wolter, MGE Energy's chairman, president and CEO. "Our customer-focused business model has supported payment of dividends to our shareholders for over one hundred years."

The new dividend yield for MGE Energy is 2.2% based on a $57 stock price and an annual dividend of $1.23 per share.
