AT&T raises dividend for 33rd consecutive year
AT&T (T) plans to raise its dividend by 2.1% next year.
Dividend Aristocrat AT&T will raise its dividend from $0.48 to $0.49 quarterly next year. The annual dividend will increase from $1.92 to $1.96 per share. The dividend will be payable on Feb. 1, 2017 to common stockholders of record on Jan. 10, 2017.
The telecom and pay-tv giant now has raised its dividend for 33 consecutive years. Last Friday AT&T also announced its plan to acquire Time Warner.
Based on Friday's closing price of $37.49 AT&T has an estimated dividend yield of 5.2%.
