Sherwin-Williams raises dividend for 40th year
Sherwin-Williams (SHW) will raise its quarterly dividend to 86 cents per share in 2018, marking the 40th consecutive year of dividend increases.
The Dividend Aristocrat will increase its quarterly dividend from $0.85 to $0.86 per share. Last year SHW also hiked its dividend by 1.2 percent.
The new dividend is payable on March 9, 2018, to shareholders of record on February 26, 2018. This increase follows 39 consecutive years of dividend increases.
Based on Friday's closing price of $402.30 Sherwin-Williams offers a 0.9% dividend yield. The stock has lost 1.9% year-to-date and SHW currently has a $37.6 billion market cap.
