Dividend Aristocrat Brown-Forman raises dividend for 36th consecutive year

Dividend Aristocrat Brown-Forman Corporation (BFB) will raise its quarterly dividend by 5% to a new annual rate of $0.6972 per share. This marks the 36th consecutive year of dividend increases by the Jack Daniel's maker.

At the current stock price of $67.24 the new annual dividend rate stated above will yield just a little over 1.0 percent. Stockholders of record on December 5, 2019, will receive the quarterly cash dividend of 17.43 cents on January 2, 2020.

Lawson Whiting, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brown-Forman said, "Our increased dividend reflects the strength of our cash flows, the health of our balance sheet, and our confidence in the long-term growth prospects for the company.”
