Dividend Aristocrat Medtronic raises dividend by 7.4 percent in 2020

Dividend Aristocrat Medtronic (MDT) will raise its quarterly dividend by 7.4 percent to $0.58 per share in 2020. Last year the dividend was hiked by 8.0 percent to 54 cents per share quarterly. Today's announcement marks the 43rd consecutive year of an increase in the dividend payment for Dividend Aristocrat Medtronic.

Power Integrations hikes dividend by 10.5%

Power Integrations (POWI) will raise its quarterly dividend by 10.5 percent to $0.21 per share in 2020. This follows a total dividend increase of 18.8 percent announced by the semiconductor technologies company last year. The next dividend will be paid on June 30, 2020 to stockholders of record as of May 29, 2020. A new annual rate of 84 cents per share yields 0.8% at a stock price of $107. Power Integrations has now increased its dividend 8 consecutive years. Power Integrations, Inc. provides semiconductor technologies for high-voltage power conversion. The company’s products are key building blocks in the clean-power ecosystem, enabling the generation of renewable energy as well as the efficient transmission and consumption of power in applications ranging from milliwatts to megawatts. Power Integrations has paid a dividend to shareholders every year since 2008.

RLI Corp hikes dividend by 4.3%

RLI Corp. (RLI) will hike its quarterly dividend by 4.3 percent to $0.24 per share in the second quarter of 2020. Last year the company paid a $1.00 per share special dividend in the fourth quarter of 2019 and also raised its quarterly dividend by 4.5 percent to $0.23 per share. The increased dividend of 24 cents is payable on June 19, 2020, to shareholders of record as of May 29, 2020. At a stock price of $74 the new annualized dividend rate of 96 cents per share yields 1.3%. RLI Corp has now increased dividends for 45 consecutive years. Microchip Technology hikes dividend by 0.1%

Microchip Technology (MCHP) will raise its quarterly dividend by 0.1 percent to $0.3675 per share in the second quarter of 2020. This follows similar dividend hikes in each of the last couple of quarters by the semiconductor products maker. The next dividend is payable on June 4, 2020 to stockholders of record on May 21, 2020. Alexander & Baldwin suspends dividend

Alexander & Baldwin (ALEX) will suspend its quarterly dividend in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The commercial real estate company last raised its quarterly dividend by 15.2 percent to 19 cents per share in Augusts 2019. A dividend was also reinstated by the REIT last year. In the company's press release reporting first quarter 2020 results Chris Benjamin, A&B president & chief executive officer stated:"As we look ahead, we believe it is too early to foresee the full impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, we are withdrawing our previously provided guidance range and our Board has decided to suspend our dividend in anticipation of reduced REIT taxable income. Throughout this period of uncertainty, we are proud of our team and are encouraged by our portfolio's neighborhood-center orientation, with essential grocery and pharmacy anchors, and asset diversity."
