Visa hikes dividend by 17.2%
Payments technology company Visa Inc. (V) will raise its quarterly dividend by 17.2 percent to$0.375 per share in 2021. This comes after a dividend hike of 6.7 percent to 32 cents per share announced by V in 2020 and at the same time marks the 13th consecutive year of dividend increases by Dow Jones member Visa.
The next V dividend is payable on December 7, 2021, to all holders of record as of November 12, 2021. The new annual dividend of $1.50 per share yields 0.6% at a stock price of $232. Visa will now pay shareholders an estimated $3.2 billion in dividends annually.

The company's transaction processing network, VisaNet, enables authorization, clearing, and settlement of payment transactions and provides financial institution and merchant clients with a range of products, platforms, and value-added services. Its financial institution clients are responsible for managing account holder and merchant relationships. The company has paid a quarterly dividend every year since 2008. Visa was added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index in 2013.
