Chord Energy will pay its fourth special dividend in 2024

Chord Energy (CHRD) will pay a special dividend of $0.19 per share in the fourth quarter of 2024. This is the fourth special dividend this year by the oil and gas company. The regular dividend yield is 3.88%.

On November 6, 2024, Chord Energy announced a $0.19 per share special dividend together with a regular quarterly payment of $1.25 per share. The regular quarterly dividend yields 3.88% at a stock price of $128.60.

Chord declared a base-plus-variable cash dividend of $1.44 per share of common stock, including a base dividend of $1.25 per share of common stock and a variable dividend of $0.19 per share of common stock. The dividends will be payable on December 12, 2024 to shareholders of record as of November 27, 2024.

Chord last hiked the regular dividend in 2022

For Chord this is the fourth dividend declaration in 2024 with special dividends of $2.00 per share, $1.25 per share and $1.27 per share paid in the previous three quarters. Chord started paying dividends in 2021 and has not been working on a dividend track record with no increases of the regular dividend in the last two years.
